How to Get Started With Tidy Kidz™
#1 – Register for our free newsletter to receive email updates about Tidy Kidz and tips you can begin using right away.
#2- Get your login i.d. and password.
#3- Let your kids watch the videos as many times as they want… then give the 5 minute tidy game a spin. They’ll have some fun with it and so will you.
#4- Look through our various chore charts to see which one best applies to your child and print it out- in color if you can but if not, black and white works just fine. You can put together two pieces of construction paper to make a colorful border and glue the chart into the middle. We have done this as well as laminate it to cut down on the use of paper and ink – always trying to think of ways to “go green”. If you don’t see the perfect one check back with us – we are constantly adding new charts. You can even contact us and tell us your chart ideas and we can put it together for you!!
#5- Put the chart up on the wall and you are ready to go!! This is a process, visit the website often and pay close attention to the charts, making sure your kids are marking off their items every day. After a week or two you’ll find they are picking up the habit. Side note: once that chart goes up, make a special effort to check it with your child everyday – just putting it on the wall does not mean the items will get done.
#6- Take a picture of the kids room(s) before they start to tidy up and take one after a 5 minute tidy session -they’ll be amazed at what they can do in 5 minutes. Send your photos in to Tidy Kidz to be posted on our Success Wall! Even the little successes – we love them all.
